Form and Function: Straps

/ 21 March, 2012 /
I went to Sammy's Camera in Pasadena today after running a few errands and came across this camera strap by Mod called their silver victorian pattern.

I must say, this is the most gorgeous strap I've laid eyes on. The underside is black and plush.  As goofy as that sounds, it's rather comfortable.  A lot more comfortable than a stock strap.  It felt secure in hand.

It isn't full of bells and whistles.  In fact, it's no better off than what you have on your camera.  So why get it?  For a personal touch while you shoot.  If you're an event photographer, it gives you a unique look and invites people to come up and ask what is that?  Then you have an excuse to take their photo.
It comes in various patterns, but this one so happens to be my favorite.

For $34 dollars, I'm no so inclined to buy it immediately.  It's more like a birthday gift to myself. I can live with a stock strap for a while. But if you have a few dollars extra, check out Mod's distinct set of straps.
