Photo Journals, Getting Faded and free drinks..

/ 08 September, 2010 /
I've let the blog go by the wayside for a while now.  I haven't had many eventful things going on.  Unless you count working on two Blade life interviews for ONE magazine (one of which will be up soon), a power supply, two hard drives, and a car going down (and the wait for replacements and repairs), the Fade Nation "Green" premiere, and a few other things I can't remember past a caffeine haze.  Oh a photo I shot of Jeremy Soderburg is in the latest ONE issue (see flickr photo below).  I'll end up picking up a copy this Saturday at the last LA All Day (wow, that's crazy to write out) and scan it when I get the chance.

In a nutshell, if you're too lazy to read this, here's the pictograph version of what I just said:

The Green Premiere...best premiere I've been to in ages, if only because I had the perfect seat, Conor O'brien ran off with my camera for a bit, took 200 plus photos (92 processed), there was a bar, and Anthony and Julio bought drinks.  Oh and the Oinkster dinner beforehand rocked.

I should really work on more putting out more Photo Journal.  In the meantime, here's Anthony Gallegos' photo. And for all you nerds out there, the settings are in the description.

I really need to buy a copy of this month's one issue...Barnes and Noble said they hadn't seen a copy since March, so they didn't know if they carried the magazine anymore.  And this is why I stopped working for them 3 years ago.  But Jeremy had a copy at his house and it looked stunning in print. A lot better than I had imagined!

And here are the two art shows I've featured photographs in.  Thank you Dali for hooking me up with the finally feature my photographs. It's been something I've wanted to do but didn't know where to begin.  Let me say it was absolutely terrifying featuring my photographs was!  I wonder if that's what it's like for other artists?
