I fashioned the body of texts, graphic design content, overall site theme. The theme is minimalist, with black text using a font similar to the one used in the video, TJ Evolette. Links use a burnt red/burgundy color, which highlights links but doesn't overwhelm the page. A side note, originally the video used red titling (reflected in the video edits from 2011), but we found it rendered improperly on televisions, which is why we opted for monochromatic colors.
The header for the site is the graphic which I created for the DVD labels:

As you can see, it's a simple design. White paper DVD sleeves, a white disc with no writing (not pictured) and only the shop supporters/the video title on the 'Cover'.
The website is meant to compliment the DVD. One person told me it was as if they were looking at the back of a DVD case.
The video is also being hosted online and was released a day after shops received their DVDs. MediaFire.com was chosen because of their generous bandwidth allotments, as well as the ability to post direct links without visiting their site. This was key to posting the video on the Take Your Time Website.
The website hosts three flavors of the video. Originally, there was only to be a near DVD quality MOV file that is 2.3 gigabytes. I suggested and encoded 2 other copies for bandwidth restrictions and to ensure coverage in the mobile market . 1 version is 700 megabytes. So far, it has been the least popular. The other is a 400 megabyte version encoded to work on iOS devices, encoded at 720 to take advantage of the retina displays currently on Apple's devices. This has seen the most downloads, 750+ downloads today at last count.
I am also encoding each individual section to post on Vimeo, 1-2 per day. The skaters love this as they can post these to their sponsors or post them on their social media site of choice (Facebook or Twitter). It also increases the viewability of those who would rather watch streaming.
ONE Magazine posted a blurb up about the video. I got in touch with them with a screener copy before it officially released, which has lead to talks about an exclusive behind the scenes article about the making of the video.
All that said and done, the work is not done! Shops still need additional DVDs and I need to order additional supplies. There are Tweets to make and photos to blog!
But while I'm busy behind the scenes, please feel free to check out my video @ Takeyourtimevid.wordpress.com
